My dad was HIT AND RUN rear ended by a semi on I-15 N mile marker 86 South of mesquite NV.

We are seeking any information regarding this incident. 4/14/23 around 0225 (2:25am) he was in a red ‘71 VW Bus traveling north on I-15 N (mile marker 86 NB near mesquite NV). There were two bikes and a rocket box on the roof. The van has bright taillights.

A semi hit him going about 80, the bikes and rocket box came off, he was able to control the vehicle to the shoulder.

A police report was filed for missing property and highway patrol noticed. I will update if this gets traction.

If a semi hit a micro bus doing 80, your dad would be dead.

We need a lot more information. How do you know how fast the semi was going? If the van was controllable and drive-able from the impact point to the side of the road how bad were the damages to the van?

Semi was probably doing the speed limit 70-80. Van was doing 50. The damage is fairly bad, but it still runs. It seems like the semi hit/accelerated the van and didn’t stay hard on the gas so he was able to pull out of the way.

If the bus was stopped or if he got t-boned I would agree. The pictures don’t really lie. I’ll post them when I get off work.

Without the truck's company name or license plate you are most likely SOL.

Have a lot of questions about this post. Things seem less than plausible.

It's a needle in a haystack, but you can ask the manager at the Flying J in Mesquite to check the security cameras between 0230-0330. The truck driver might have stopped there to check the damage on his rig or hide out until morning.

I think your father was most likely hit by Jewish lightning.
