I usually pulled trolley brake let trailer pull the tractor back towards pile where you dumping , so the trailer would remain stationary. The last tractor I owned did not have an air suspension dump switch, never had any problem with air bags

I pulled a frame dump trailer for years, never had a problem, but I've seen my share of frameless go over. Not sure what this driver did wrong. Material hung up, maybe?

Did the load push on the trailer? Looked like the trailer lunged forward and bound up.

Didn't look like anything dumped. Did he forget to open the gate?

Thing about a frameless is the break away bolts save the truck from going over 25 percent of time or so. A full frame will take it every time

That's true, except, I don't remember a frame type going over, although, I'm sure they have. I've been on spread jobs with a frame dump, and was no place for a frameless. Aside from weight savings, I don't see the advantage to a frameless. Will that extra material you can haul ever pay for an upset? I like heavy duty trucks, ( Mack and a frame dump, couldn't kill either one) and a frameless always seemed like a wimpy dump trailer to me.

I have seen full frames go over quite a bit. Hauling shale in for fill. Think its solid and start up when you see it ain't is after the ground gives away. Used 1/4 frames (both axles stay on ground) dumping into lay down machines and seen them lay over on the shoulder.

A frameless will usually show you a sign when hauling fill but not always
