My 2009 Freightliner Columbia has a governor that limits it to 66 MPH. This is how I bought it, it was owned by Praxair. Anyway, is there some way to disable this governor or at least increase it to 70 MPH?
I own the truck and the company and so any such change is completely authorized.
Thanks

You need to find someone with the computer that can go into the ECM and re-set the parameters
ichudov Thanks this. -
When I had my N14 computer replaced, they just assumed that I wanted O/O parameters, which I did.
I can post here a standard O/O parameter setting, which does NOT include speed control. -
So, pretty much, I just need to go to a dealer, right?

Just ask for Owner/Operator specs.

Someone told me once, if you floor and release the accelerator pedal 3 times fast, it temporarily over rides the governor for passing. Anybody ever try that?
BoxCarKidd Thanks this.
