I just ordered a new set of stacks for my w900. I didn't want really tall stacks but somehow the only reasonably priced stacks that I found are going to be 13 foot 4 inches off the ground to the top of the pipe.

Anyone else running stacks this tall? Do you have problems with them? I see max height is 14 foot but then I see some saying the max height in Colorado is 13 foot. My dry van is 13 foot tall.

Anyone have issues with running straight pipes? I really debated on this but I don't daily drive my truck and just figured you only live once.... Plus I rarely go through scales.

As long as you are under 13’6 you’re fine. Your dryvan is most likely 13’6 as well. You won’t have any problems just use common sense when you see tree branches hang low. My old truck had 13’6” stacks and it was legal but there were a few times I brushed some branches. No damage or anything but you need to be aware. My new truck is a w9 as well and the stacks are mid roof height (haven’t measured) and like them a lot more. As for straight pipes it depends on wether you still have the restrictions under the cab. If it’s wide open your exhaust will sing crazy loud. It’s the high pitch whistle similar to the turbo sound that drives some people crazy.

Here's a tip, make your CB antenna a little higher than your stacks that way you'll know when you don't have enough clearance. My stack reaches the end of my exhaust which is under the truck.I think it's about 14'.

Ive run 13.5 stacks. It's company stuff. Little tiny two inch muffled pipe. Better would be two pipes.

Im deaf so straight pipe don't bother me. It bothers everyone else at o dark thirty. =)

10'8" on mine. They need to be low to fit in the one cement mill I load at. Otherwise, they'd have been 12'6, like they were from factory
