Our lease trucks go 25000 miles between service then it gets all new oil filters, coolant and fuel filters,lube,ect..
When i owned my own truck i did it every 20,000. -
I do it at 15,000 or thereabouts....Sometimes it gets streched to 20,000 if I'm too busy to mess with it, Never more than 20,000.
volvodriver01 and puncher Thank this. -
I also try to do mine at 15,000 miles. It is my truck so I prefer keeping up on her. There has been a few times I have let it go a little further.
puncher Thanks this. -
I do a grease and level check every 10,000km. I change the oil and filters at 30,000km. I do heavy work so you could probably go 40,000km. I only run 10,000km a month so every month it's serviced and every three I change the oil and filters.

I have an Ultimate PM done on my truck once a month (12,000 miles) seems to be working out ok for me so far as my oil samples come back good and it does not burn a drop with 735k miles on a MBN C15
volvodriver01 Thanks this. -
when I ran for a small mom and pop outfit we did greasejob at 5000 miles oil at 15000 tranny and rears at 100000 ( we ran mostly local) when I went to my current employer about 12 years ago they did grease at 10000 oil at 20000 not sure about tranny and rears...now we do oil and grease at 29000 we are told its due to synthetic lubes ( I feel its more to due with cost...)smaller outfits do a better job at PM I think...big boys dont worry as much about PM or resale value on worn out equipment, we run em about 600000 then ship them to an auction...If I were an o/o Id prob. go with about 10000 on grease and 20000 max on oil....

I,m a co. driver, I grease the front end 1 or 2 times a week. Auto lubers seem to be a thing of the past, one co. I worked for had them on all there Mack trucks. The front end felt like a new truck at 500k.

My truck's owner is a full time mechanic at a local LTL terminal and he does his own maintenance. We average about every 15-20k between oil changes/lube jobs. His boss is cool with him working on it at the company shop as long as its off the clock and no home office people are snooping around.
