How much grease to pump into the transmission?

So there is a grease fitting under my transmission, but every time I grease it I don’t know when to stop as I don’t see any grease coming out anywhere. I am guessing I have to remove the small plate that the grease fitting is sticking out of? This is on a DD15 engine.

There should be 3 grease fittings. 1 on the bottom of the release bearing (the one on the short whip hose) and 1 on each side of the bellhousing, about half way up. The ones on the side are for the cross shaft bushings. I normally give all three about 2-4 shots every other week or so. Too much grease is bad because you can contaminate the clutch lining or the clutch brake lining.

I will look for them, and I forgot to say I have a DD15 engine.

AModelCat. Is the bottom one for the clutch brake?

And the excess that comes out and around the release bearing goes on the brake....
