you mean you won't keep that 1400 in your pocket that takes 2000 miles to make? 4days on the road! vs sitting at home at a desk. you can't have that many receipts.

    check out http://mygauges.com/truck-accounting

    $100. one truck .turbo tax.

    maybe 25 receipts per month...scales , service ,repair, supplies,etc....

This is one of the downfalls of being a INC. you will have less money too.
Theres those who say it's worth it I have yet to see the value.
I do all my own taxes so the cost is about one 6 pack.
I can do taxes in 8-12 hours if I start from nothing, if I keep records quaterly about 4 hours. I just sit and read instructions and put numbers in boxes.
It takes me about 2 hours to do ifta from zero and 30 minutes for IRP.
I looked at trubo tax and didn't like it some do.

The CPA I had charged me $250 to do my taxes once a year. I did my own filing and had it all organized by Jan 10th. Just gave him notes with figures. He never even looked at my actual receipts, but I had them in case he needed them.

You should look into an app that imports into Quickbooks. You take a picture of the receipt and enter it at the time. Later the information is imported into Quickbooks. You would have to set up the accounts in the beginning but the day to day takes only a minute. Most times the receipt is read so you don't have to enter the date and $.

Use Quicken and TurboTax, You can pay yourself that $1400 annually and go on vacation.

since you likely have a computer in the truck already, get Quicken Home & Office or else Quickbooks and just start using it to track your financing/payments and income.

Make sure you catagorize everything and at the end of the year, It will take you about an hour to do your taxes.

My accountant saves me lots of time and hassles. I've been sole proprietor and she charges me $100/mo. plus $250 to file fed and state taxes. I don't know her rates for Inc. or even if she has any available openings (she limits herself to how many people she manages throughout the year). But if you're interested in talking to her send me a PM and I'll give you her phone #.

Neat Receipts is what it's called and not all that spendy.

Monthly, I send my bank statements and all receipts I collected for the month and send em to my accountant. She figures EVERYTHING out. She keeps up on recent changes to the tax code. She knows what will trip an audit and how best to avoid that. And if you DO get audited? She'll sit right next to you at the audit, explaining everything to the IRS agent.
