Hello,
In a typical application for one of the big carriers, how far back do they ask you to self report for any driving tickets you obtained in your personal vehicle if coming in to the career new, with fresh CDL?
Three?
Ten?
More?
Thanks in advance

Most carriers will go back 3 to 5 yrs on MVR.

Depends on the charge. General traffic tickets your OK even if you got a ticket last week if it is minor. The carriers are more concerned about things like DUI/DWI and reckless driving convictions and they might go back 5 or more years on those. Go by what they ask for and don't volunteer information not asked for. If however the carrier does get your DAC report and find charges be prepared to be asked about this. For the record DAC does list traffic tickets. I have a DAC report and there are old tickets listed in it. -
Does a driver even have a DAC report even if never had a CDL?
ie is there already a DAC report on a driver if they have only ever had a a regular non commercial drivers license, and never a CDL? -

They've always ask for a 10 year printout from me.
RustyChops41 Thanks this. -
I just obtained an online MVR from California DMV website.
Does anyone happen to know how many years back a California MVR one obtains for oneself online via DMV website probably goes? It doesn't say on the MVR printout obtained online.
Thanks in advance -
If your new, nothing should be.on your dac.Get one anyway to make sure.
Depends on carrier.
Here where I at my MVR goes all the way back to when I receieved my license. And tickets wont show if you didnt have your license on you.
Not in my state at least.EphTrucker Thanks this. -

Y'all failed to answer his question.
They can ask for more, but every application you'll ever fill out will at minimum ask for that. There's more in the regulations...but hopefully that answered your question.brian991219, Raezzor and EphTrucker Thank this.
