Hi,
I would like to know how the interview process at Old Dominion goes. I’ve heard it’s a very hard company to get on with, but that once hired, you won’t want to work anywhere else. A few OD barns are hiring in my area and I’d like to get some feedback here before I send the application.
Thanks.
How is the Interview process at Old Dominion?

Your odds of getting on there depend on your location 100%. I interviewed in Portland, OR a few years ago after 2 years of OTR with no tickets/incidents/accidents. I called in for an interview. At the interview the interviewer explained that he had called in 10 people to interview for one opening but and he'd be only calling one driver back. With only 2 years of experience it wouldn't be me.
In other parts of the country OD is hiring drivers right out of school with zero experience. I saw an ad on Indeed that said OD was training people with no experience to get their CDLs.
I know another driver who applied there about a month ago in Seattle. He turned in an application and a few days later he received an email inviting him to an, "online job fair" with a $1,000 signing bonus for anyone who was offered a job during the event. He logged in and watched two short videos about OD. The, "event" had hundreds of drivers from all over the country. The host asked the attendees to to message them with their name, city and phone number. He did. The rest of the event was just other applicants asking oddly specific questions (ie What is the starting pay for a P&D driver in Tucson, AZ). At the top of the hour they just started over showing the same videos. No job offers were made. It's been three weeks and he still hasn't heard anything from OD. -
I know this is an old thread... Did you apply? How did it go?
