I got arrested for driving on a suspended liscense 6 years ago. The liscense was suspended for an unpaid seatbelt ticket. Been clean ever since. Clean criminal record. About to graduate school. Was wondering if you guys think this could affect me getting a job. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Due to the length of time of the arrest and reason, I doubt it will impact your ability to get a job. Unless it was a felony, it usually doesn't create a lot of problems getting hired.

Once you get your CDL in Washington your driving record is kept for 55 years. All tickets, moving vehicle violations, equipment tickets, and convictions of any kind are supposed to appear to an employer.

So the answer is, it varies by state. Know this before filling out applications.

Carriers are required to verify the previous 3 years of employment and your mvr. Some may check beyond the 3 years, but all are required to check at least the previous 3 years. Carriers are also required to collect the previous 10 years of employment, whether you have been driving, doing something else or in school. It is important to be truthful on any employment application. If you have concerns about anything in your past, you can always call recruiters at carriers for whom you are interested in working. The most damaging issues to overcome is anything related to drugs or alcohol or a felony.

Rock and roll. Thanks for the info. Any of you guys know much about Navajo express? Theres not a ton of reviews out there for them. They have available refer routes hauling beer and beef out of denver. Pay per mile is average. Decent monthly bonus program. Just curious about what real drivers might think. Thanks

Your speeds are tame. Don't worry about it as long it's not DUI, Arrest, conviction etc etc etc.

The one thing that gets me is there was a day I zipped past a cruiser at 130 plus upgrade, he was going the other way he never got to me because I just finished a pass of 30+ but certainly the posse was out. It is not hard to find me in those days at all. The one company in which we had dollar trucks is out of business so there is no one there to heap damnation on me. But the company knows about it. They always do.

I don't worry about small stuff like that. Ive bigger issues than worrying about a bit of speed.
