Carb has forced me out of business for now. I don't know if I will be able to get back in the game, in the future. Does anyone know the best way to deactivate my DOT and MC#s without losing them permanently?
    Thanks

Just leave them alone. You should email them before you are inactive (or call) 1 yr.

Just curious why carb got involved? Running an old 379 choking on fumes or what? You must have been messed with in Cali I'm assuming?.....

I had 2000 Freightliner Classic. Trucks 2007 and older need a huge DPF filter. The deadline to put the filter on came and went. I also needed all new Low Rolling Resistance tires. The fines are thousands of dollars for non compliance. Between the cost of all this, and not wanting to borrow money to stay in business, I sold my equipment. The filter alone runs $15 to $17K.

No one else is complying with CARB. Just wondering if you were cited.

Once your insurance is cancelled, your authority will be revoked. You don't have to do anything for that. To reinstate in the future, you pay a small fee and have your new insurance company file with the Feds. It only takes a few days. Log in to make your dot number inactive like you were updating your MCS 150

I wasn't cited. But I had to go through the Banning scale very often. This seems to be the Carb police headquarters. I just got weary of the stress.

  11. You said it. "Banning Scale". That's all you had to say
