OK, I have a pair of those typical Kodiak gloves, with frabic on the back on the hand and leather around the fingers and in the palm area. Thinsulate material inside... After a while working and pretripping, the globe gets so dirty full of oil and grease all over... I am just wondering how can I clean it?
Thought about putting it into the washing machine but I don't want to get it all dirty and ruin it... How about I just rub it in a tub of water? Or should I just get a new pair?![]()
How do I clean my gloves?

sand, clean kitty litter..........

i'll tell you what i do and it works....
go to Lowe's, Home Depot, any wholesale warehouse store, buy work gloves in bulk, hopefully not more than say $5 a pair, throw them away. i don't waste my time washing work gloves....never did, never will. with the way gloves get used and abused and maybe stolen, it just doesn't pay to buy a pair for more than $5 each.......Roadmedic, chompi and end of the road Thank this. -
Don't know how much you care about the gloves... but I use Brakekleen on my gloves, hands, and generally around the truck. It dissolves grease, which is great but the gloves aren't going to look clean and new... just not covered with grease.

I just buy a new pair. By the time mine are so dirty after deck work they tend to be torn up as well.

Oxyclean. Stuff works pretty good without damaging the fabric. I would do like Rerun said, just by a bunch of the cheap leather work gloves. There is no way you are going to avoid getting diesel, and grease and such all over them. Maybe keep your nice gloves for just wearing when you build a snowman at the rest stop!

if it snows down south (and it has), the "transplants" are the first ones to build a snowman...!! -
Oak Harbor sells cheap gloves in bulk. If you are working for a mega carrier maybe you can go into one of the shops and ask the forman for a couple of pairs, as some of them supply their mechanics with them.
Dont know that I would be using Brakekleen on my hands wanderlost, they might start looking funny after extended use -
Buy 'em cheap... throw 'em away when dirty. I keep a "dirtier pair" around for working near grease - and a cleaner pair for everything else... rotate from cleaner to filthier to the garbage can as necessary.

And I always have a dedicated pair for fueling and pre-trips,.......
I buy them in bulk at farm supply stores,...sometime you can find a good deal on them a dollar stores,.....
