I am currently working toward getting my CDL and have spent the last 6 years being a manager for FedEx. My question is, ho does a person go about purchasng/buying a long haul Route with FedEx Ground? I'd ultimately like to buy the route, truck, etc and start off by driving it myself. How does a person go about doing this?
How can I purchase a FedEx Ground long-haul route?

and you haven't thought about asking them these questions...???
surely THEY WOULD KNOW the owner-operators they have..???
and you can then go directly to as many as you can..??? -

Call the office in Ft Worth...usually you buy a truck lease it on and run wild..meaning all terminals until you get selected for a dedicated route...more chances than not you will need to run team..only speaking based on the experience I had with them...good luck

I had a Class instructor tell the class of a Husband and Wife that went thru the class and bought a truck to do that. They run Team, and they also have to have Hazmat too. I seen a picture of the Straight Truck that they use and this truck had a sleeper at least twice the size of a normal truck.

but still as a FEDEX manager, the company cannot out you in touch with someone on the dark side...????
or you cannot just walk into the place and talk with the manager yourself..??
i mean haven't you got the fortitude to meet with another manager..??? -
No, I cannot just walk in there, we are separate companies. -
i just find it difficult to believe it is still the "same" organization and you cannot get information from anyone.
well, good luck to you and your quest.
