I am a company driver for US Xpress. I drive a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia with a DD15 engine. I could not find anything in the owner's manual for my truck that says how many horsepower the engine is. In the owner's manual for my truck, the owner's manual says that the component information label will say how many horsepower the engine is for my truck. The owner's manual says that the component information label is attached to the outside of the ziplock document bag. When I was first issued this truck, there were two ziplock bags with various documents in them. But either the component information fell off the ziplock bag before I received the truck, or the component information label was not on the ziplock bag when I first received the truck. So how can I find out how many horsepower my engine is?

The Detroit™ DD15® Diesel Engine - Demand Detroit | Freightliner Trucks

According to the Freightliner website at the link above, DD15 engines have between 400-505 horsepower. I believe that different DD15 engines have different amounts of horsepower, with the lowest horsepower DD15 engines having 400 horsepower and the highest horsepower DD15 engines having 505 horsepower.

How can I find out exactly how much horsepower my DD15 engine has?

Do you think that the horsepower would be located somewhere on the DD15 engine?

    DD15 Engine.jpg

    D. Tibbitt's post gave me the idea to open the hood and look on the engine to see if there is a sticker saying how many horsepower the engine is. The photograph attached above is a photograph of the sticker I found on top of my DD15 engine.

Notice it says "ADV. HP: 505 @ 1625 RPM"

    Does ADV. stand for average?

If the sticker just said "HP: 505", i wouldn't have to confirm that the engine is 505 Horsepower, but the sticker said "ADV. HP: 505 @ 1625 RPM", so I need to confirm. So my DD15 engine must have 505 horsepower; correct?

    Advertised.
As a company driver, maybe ask the company.
As a company driver, what does it matter?
Do you think you can change it?
Offer to pay the company for a dyno test and see what they say.

Ok. If adv stands for advertised, then i think that it's fair to say the engine is 505 horsepower.

I doubt that my fleet manager would know.

I drive a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia. I'm considering getting into a lease purchase program with a 2019 Freightliner Cascadia. I want a frame of reference. Are you angry with me for asking about this?

No. I don't have to change it for it to be useful information to me.

I don't want to do that. I think i already know the horsepower now that i saw that sticker anyway.

I believe that the answer of the question of the OP is to look at the sticker on top of the engine. I believe that the horsepower is 505.

But how do you pull the ECM history?
