Just wondering how trailer prices are these days.

Are they still Sky High or have they hit rock bottom or are we somewhere hovering in the middle before the apocalypse?

I'm good with a Hyundai. There's another BCO interested in Blackie II.

If he buys him, think I may get a new or almost new Hyundai.

Used dry vans cheap? What do you call cheap? I just looked around and prices are still Greta Thunberg right now. ie insane. I guess it’s all perspective. I know a guy who just bought a used dry van for 51k. He thinks he got a deal. Anyway…

Personally I wouldn’t buy anything right now. I would get lean and mean. They have by 2024 to get as much implemented as possible. Another lockdown, bank run, economic crash, World War III…One, some or all of those have a good chance of happening. These are scary times IMO. Why would you want to be stuck with the payment? If we go full Great Depression I guess you could live in the trailer. Unless you’re paying cash of course then by all means overpay right now when there is a good chance thousands of trailers will be going to auction after getting repo’d, companies go under, etc. That will be the time to buy…

$200,000 truck, $50,000 trailer, moon insurance rates.

All that to chase $2 a mile loads.

Get to work and roll up some miles. It won't be fun but it can be done. Rates can get a LOT worse than what they are and cash burns when you're parked too.

I'm not running my old shaker into the ground for $2 a mile. Mainly doing short trips near the house until someone pays up to get me to leave.
