My question: Are there any toll roads in Houston that I can not run in a tractor trailer?
I am (for the most part) a local driver in north Louisiana. Therefore, I am not used to running cities with toll roads. We do not have a toll account. My question is not specifically about charges etc. Since I dont have a toll pass thingy, I'll just run the road & let them send a bill via licence plate info etc (something I learned here on TTR). My question is whether I can get on & travel the toll road to my exit & get off.
My reason for asking. I remember back in the 80's there was one toll road in Dallas that had toll booths for cars but not trucks. Therefore, a truck couldn't get through the toll booths, therefore, trucks were prohibited (at least that's what I was told). I gotta load in Houston somewhere today & I just don't want any surprises.
I would appreciate any relative info.

All toll roads in Houston are accessible by trucks except if you are permitted for an oversize load then you're not permitted but the Sam Houston tollway east of US 59 north of interstate 10 is ez tag transponder only no cash all othersit's five dollars per toll plaza and there are approximately four toll plazas surrounding the city on the Sam Houston tollway, 2 on the Hardy toll Road..

I was on the Sam Houston tollway some years back approaching the toll booth and the signage was lacking, notifying trucks to use right lane, until it seems the last 100'. I couldn't get over so went thru the "car" booth. I swear, it was the tightest squeeze ! I think you're OK on any toll road in Houston. Where's your pick-up at ?

She hasnt sent me the info yet.. I'll post that for you in a few minutes...
I just unloaded on the n/w side of Houston just off 290 right at the Sam Houston toll way.
Edit: P/U location: South Loop East, Houston TX -
What Part of town are you loading yet?

This place is right off exit 35 on South Loop East in some business park there. So I should be fine. I wont have to take any toll roads. Just 290 south to 610 then south & east. Then to get me back home I just run on around 610 back to 59 & be good.
Thanks guys..
