I got a hotspot with verzion to get me online when my phone cant (t-mobile)
Anybody use the lte tablets instead? Which would be better? I'm itching for a tablet and not sure if I should get wifi only or lte.

You can still use a Tablet or a Laptop or any WiFi capable device. -
HOTSPOT is the way to go
if you get the lte tablet the only thing you can get online with is the tablet
with the hotspot you can get online with just about anything, tablet, phone, laptop, play station, smart tv and more all at the same time..... -
I use my phone for wifi hotspot. I'm not paying for 2 devices

I can use either my iPhone or iPad as a hotspot on Verizon... And I was looking at the T-Mobile website and it said their unlimited plan can be used as a hot spot for up to 7Gb too... Not sure if you are cut off after 7Gb or just throttled.
Pros and Cons between your two options... Personally, unless there was other unknown benefits, I think I am sticking with the equipment I have vs adding another piece of equipment to the truck.
