" We expect our drivers to be out 18-21 days at a time" Deal killer right there. I went to their website and they appear to be a general comodity hauler. You live in Tx. so why haul cheap freight?

What Olstinker said. If you're in Texas, why in the world would you want to haul cheap freight. There are other unique options here in our Great State of Texas to make a lot more money and be home a lot more often.

I agree with ya'll. Looking to see whats out there. My hotshot days were in the early 80's when we all had winches/poles and rolling tails on our trailers. We had to be able to load our trailers at the rig in those days. There were as many 40 ft mini floats as there were goosenecks back then. When that oil boom ended so did we. Own a construction and heavy equipment company since then. Getting back into hotshot business till the next bust. Dodge 5500 and 40 ft gooseneck with air ride and lift axle, elec-hydral. brakes. Lot more truck and trailer then the old days. I'm sure there are arguments both ways on how big a truck and trailer you need. My idea is to have enough truck and trailer to handle any load that is offered. Any thoughts on this?? Have had three Dodge 3500's since 98 and been happy with them all. Have a 28 ft. daul tandem trailer with ramps at the shop too should I need it sometimes.
Definitly starting over from scratch. All my contacts from the old days have moved on.
