    I
truck GVWR 11500. Trailer GVWR 14000 Two 7k axles Length 34ft Load capacity is the difference between the GVWR minus the weight of the truck and trailer. There are numerous dispatching services out there some good some not so good. A good one will have brokers calling him to move freight. He will have developed relationships over years.

If trailer is rated over 10,000 lbs (10,001 lbs or more) driver still needs CDL.

IFTA isn't bad.. I run 48 states and so far my IFTA has been around $600 this year.. So if your hot shot you probably wouldn't run 48...

Thnks is, first good. It's better to have a CDL A, even hotshot. It just opens up so much more for you.

The thing is, the trailer being over 10,000 lbs does not determine if a CDL is needed. It's total weight over 26,001 to determine that. All a trailer over 10,000 lbs detemains, is if you need a CDL, it must be a class A CDL.

Here is a flowchart from WA, but federal and all other states follow the same determinations.

IFTA isn’t really an extra cost. Stickers and renewal free.Filings only settle the amount of tax distributed to each state. Either way your paying at the pump and or at each quarter filing
