In '05 my ins on our truck & trailer with liability & cargo was $9,000. In '06 it was $8,000. I dont remember who I had in '05 & it was a local company in '06. This was for a business based in Louisiana.

    Hi itia2018,

First, congrats on taking the steps to get going with your Hot Shot biz!

There are definitely many factors that go into the premium the insurance company is wanting to charge:
    1. New venture - probably your biggest factor
    2. Driving experience, age, marital status
    3. The types of cargo you haul
    4. How far you drive from home base
    5. What kind of deductible you're willing to accept
    6. many other factors

    Is this a 6-month or 12-month policy?
