Is it suppose to stay on all the time?
Should it have an electrical connection?

Just installed mine in November. I love it! It runs at 30% all the time until the ECM tells it otherwise. I’ve noticed that I’m not blowing dust everywhere with the engine fan just because the head pressure on the A/C decides to turn the fan on……. Don’t even notice the fan turning on when I turn on the A/C. The only pitfall that I’ve noticed so far is that on a -20 degree night, the water temperature won’t get over 130 degrees. I’m going to have to figure out a winter front for next winter.
