I have a 2007 W900L that I would like to mount a swan hood ornament on. The swan was on my dads 379 pete for years, and he recently sold the truck and we pulled the swan off before he sold it. I was wondering if anybody knows if they make a bracket of some sort to mount the swan without drilling holes in the hood. Heres a pic of the truck.

Try any dealer, I know Papè Kenworth has them, the I-80 chrome shop has them as well.

Hi Johnboggs, that is so cool. I wouldn't worry about the holes in the hood. The fact that your dad's swan was mounted proudly on the hood of your truck, to me, would offset any small holes that would have to be drilled. It seems, there are round bases for that, but still, the base needs holes drilled in the hood. How was it mounted on your dad's truck?

Can't help you with mounting your swan but I have to comment on your truck. That's a real beauty.
randomname Thanks this. -
is it one of the swans with the lights in the wings? had one of those on my 79 pete. take care

Those are so cool. I think so anyway. I love that extra touch.

thanks for the compliments. It doesnt have light up wings, but that does sound neat. I thought maybe something existed that would utilize the bolts on the top of the grill or the one behind the KW emblem

I propped it up on the hood today to see how it would look. On dads pete we just pulled the stock hood ornament off and it fit into the holes that were there already."semi" retired, BeN DaViS and joseph1135 Thank this.
