As for options I don't have anything holding me back , clean driving & background. Honestly I've read a lot of horror stories about rookies struggling to find their first driving job & I'm trying to avoid any hassle starting out. Western Express was the first and only Carrier I've reached out too because I was told that the hiring process is fast and new driver friendly.
Honest opinion of western Express. Would appreciate all input !

If you're set on flatbed, try Melton Truck Lines also.

I've heard of Melton truck lines. I didn't know they hire new drivers though.

That being said, you know what they say about opinions, right? Keep yours private, even if you and the trainer get along. The trainer might share his (I wouldn’t), and it may differ from yours, but neither of you are there to win a popularity contest.
Anyway, if you don’t mind, update this thread when you make a decision.

They are a really great company from what I see. One of their drivers took time out of his life and career and really taught me how to do a 45 degree back. When most companies told me to just figure it out. But seriously western I wouldn't bet on themThrasher28 Thanks this. -
If you want to flatbed go with TMC or Prime. They keep their equipment in better shape, and do a good job of training how to tarp and secure loads. I've yet to meet a happy Western driver, let alone 1 with them that had a choice of any other job due to their criminal history.

Maverick seems like a decent starter company for flatbed.
