Had several negative encounters I guess is what we can call them on this round going across hwy 11 westbound.

    All in the same day:
Two times, at the construction where you must stop and wait for the traffic light because it is 1 way at a time they are doing bridge repair. White freightliner with a reefer coming up behind. I always have 4 ways on and watch for the traffic to slow until people behind me have stopped. This guy doesn't slow down. I quickly realize he's going to crash full speed into me. As I am getting ready to blast the air horn, I see the front of that freightliner dive. He somehow manages to get stopped. Same thing, 2 different white freightliners dragging reefers.

I like to cruise anywhere between about 93 and 97. I adjust it up or down and only pass if someone is really dragging their feet. I also will set it on 100 if someone is behind me but there aren't many places to safely pass. I eventually have yet another white cascadia dragging a H+R wagon catch me. I am doing 100 and he is riding my ###. He makes attempts to pass at the dumbest times. With a blind curve and downhill coming up he figures it's a great time. He starts, I can see the line will be solid yellow soon. I blast the air horn thinking he will get the message to get in behind in case someone is coming you can't see. He disregards. I continue to hold the horn and now am hammering the Go pedal because I can see the danger. He does not fall back until yes actually there is a pickup truck coming which has slowed way down and dodged to the gravel. I did not see how close it was, I was pushing my truck to go faster so he had space behind. A short while later he attempts again and when he gets it out there I brake hard so he can go on his way. Only to catch the cars with their campers and boats not far ahead driving the same way I am. Same thing, ride them, I can see the following distance is not much as the brake lights come on every short while. More poorly timed passing, with hammering the brake so he could get behind the car with camper to avoid a crash. It took 3 or 4 attempts for him to get by, only to pull in to longlac 20 km later. What is the point in passing only to catch the traffic ahead? When you're only doing a few more clicks than everyone else? Or do these cowboys only operable at 'parked' or 'drive it against the governor' settings?

Next incident. A passing section is under construction, well sort of, they have pylons blocking the right lane of the passing zone for all but the last 600m or so. 2 trucks in front of me, a flatbed and a dry van. Flatbed up front then van then me. Flatbed makes an error by going to the right lane obviously did not look ahead and see right lane ending in 300m sign. Realizes his mistake throws left blinker on. Flatbed is a tri axle and is obviously quite heavy. Dry van doesn't have time for that and is halfway up his side already. Dry van takes some of the oncoming lane so as to not force flatbed into the rhubarb. The car that dodges the dry van in oncoming lane? F them, I guess. I backed off and flashed lights so flatbed has a space. We all pull into the fj at kapuskasing. A new Canadian comes over to my truck with an angry look on his face and my first thought is not a good one, as in "wtf do you want, go away." He is the flatbed driver and thanks me for giving him the space earlier. He is livid with the other driver. The offending driver took the liberty to park beside the fuel pumps and disappear while the lot is at least 90% vacant. The R gear? Only Reeeeeetards use that one. I tell the flatbed driver, who I can barely understand from his heavy accent, to go over and give the other guy s***. He says "you come and we both give the s***." (I find it hilarious the way he speaks while so angry.....inside I am dying). The driver is nowhere to be found. After eating my poor food choice and emptying my bladder I decide I may as well just continue on. Nothing positive will come of me staying here. The most likely scenario is I waste my time and energy.

Today was actually scary. Had my phone worked I was seriously considering calling it in. I ended up not calling, thinking what will the cops do anyway? They didn't see any of these stunts and I don't have a dash cam. I am also the last person to play citizen cop. But God #### there was some way out of line driving today. Is it any wonder these are the usual culprits when wrecks happen?? How do we fix the issue? Will law enforcement actually do anything if these are well documented? I am on the hunt for dash cameras.

Imo, the situation cannot be fixed. Not a recognized trade, so no training standards required. Doesn’t matter who you are... pass the test, here’s the keys, don’t stop, even to pee. We will throw you some loonies to keep you happy.

Part of the reason I drove from Lethbridge to Edmonton then to Lloydminster rather than take the more direct route on two-lane highway.

They tracked down the fool in this one.

VIDEO: Transport driver charged after near crash - TBNewsWatch.com

Sounds like a fun day you had. I haven't been across 11 in close to a year and will avoid it if I can. Way too few passing lanes and way too many impatient drivers.

On the other hand, sat on 69 for 8 hours the other day due to fatal crash and 17 was closed the next day for another fatal. Construction, summer travelers and nice weather suck. I can't wait for winter to come back. :)

This is how they crash down where I live
Latest fatal 401 crossover crash sounds alarm for median barriers

And this summer they have it down to 1 lane for a long stretch again. It didn't take long for the screw ups to start piling up. In previous years there were too many rear endings to even remember, I'm talking about the major damage crashes. This one was one of the first, and the work zone had just finished being setup
BlackburnNews.com - Two Crashes, Two Truckers Charged
And read what the truck that crunched the car was charged with.... friend of mine who drives this stretch daily said the driver had just a g2, no insurance, authority, irp plates, nothing, basicly just bought a truck and went trucking. And what will the punishment be? Jack s×××.

And that is why computers will someday take over (not very soon though) people arent fit to drive their own vehicles anymore.
