Hoffman trucking - chickasha, ok

Sounds like every other company out here

 

LTL freight, the last bastion of respect in the trucking industry.

 

They also own Shark Trucking out of Houston. They also had BIT Trucking out of Chickasha, OK until they had two many bad wrecks and DOT problems then shut those doors and a new one opened under Hoffman. Run a bunch of junk, haul cheap and hire any tom, dick, harry and sally that walks in the door breathing and that will work for cheap wages. So if no one else will hire you you still have a chance.

 

I have worked for Hoffman for over 20 years and have never been treated wrong. I am guessing the people posting ill thoughts about them did something wrong and are sore about it. Hoffman works hard to keep a safe driving record and is quick to get rid of unqualified and poor attitude drivers. I have tried to get a few of my friends on with them and their application process kicks them out because of poor driving records or OS on DOT reports. The thing I hate about these sites is noone takes to the time generally, to post good thoughts about a company. Only angry bad attitude people wanting to talk bad about others trying to make it. This company feeds my family and if one of these people were to cause this company to go out, or suffer that means my family could go without. Maybe people should think about that before ranting about a company that has been in business for over 55 years. I would say test of time shows they are not bad.

 

Well from the equipment I've seen around Houston of theirs , I would definitely not drive for them...junk.

They have drivers that I've seen pass me in Houston area that wouldn't know proper load securement if it hit them in the face.

 

You have been a driver for 21 years and this is your first post and you just jioned today! Who says these company managers and/or owners do not read this forum.

 

There's a "Discuss your favorite trucking company" thread just below the "bad company" thread. Go there and sing the praises.

But I feel like I'm typing to a brick wall....probably a drive-by poster trying to defend his company.....

 

there are good points and bad points to every trucking company out there. It boils down to what u really want to deal with. some people are happy where they work no matter what is said about the company. but this is a forum to tell about your experiences. Not to rag on one guy for either defending the company he works for or knocking the company he used to work for.
