Hi guys, I wanted to know what all do i need to do to hire an employee? or what is the best way to do it. I don't want to just pay cash.

I want to hire a dispatcher for my company. right now I'm just an owner operator and been acting as my own dispatcher. but if i hire a dispatcher, do I need to have payroll set up where i take out taxes and stuff or can I just use company paycheck and pay like that where the dispatcher would have to pay his own taxes? Thanks in advance for any advice.

My dispatch service agreement states that I the "dispatcher" holds the contracted (non- employee) Position of Operations Manager to facilitate my company fulfilling oblagations under our agreement. ....
I am responsible for my own taxes.
    Hope this helps

You do not 1099 a dispatcher.

If you are under three or five trucks, just find a service.

And if you have enough trucks, still find a service. But something like adp or paychex to help you with the legalities of hiring an employee.

Contracting a dispatching service will cost you a fraction of what it would cost to hire an employee. If advertising was not fround upon I would even recommend one. But I will not get in trouble with that again so no recommendations from me.

im starting as a independent dispatcher ..the way that i work , is making an agreement saying that i charge you for every load that i dispatch for you , you pay me with your company check. and i also attache to the agreement a w 9 filled out from me. so that means that i am the only responsible for my own taxes . and at the end of the year ...you add all the payments that you gave me and you provide me a 1099 ..so i can pay my taxes .
i hope this information can help you!

    Do not 1099 a dispatcher.

You probably are round the clock so you need three of them.

Might as well find a payroll service to handle cutting checks, withholding and the details of paying employees. Congratulations you are a employer now who provides jobs.

Or you can have a dispatch service to the work for you.

I learned the other day one of our fast food places drive through actually connect to a overseas call center who pulls up pictures and send them back to the burger crew inside to assemble my order. Grotesque if you ask me.

Yeah I really want to trust a future of my business to someone who cannot even use proper capitalization or punctuation.
You realize your posting here just caused you to fail your first interview. Details matter in this business.
