    1. I read hat Lefty is planning to buy a moose catcher in hopes that it will prevent drunk students from smashing his hood. My concern would be someone hooking the moose catcher with their ICC bumper. Which would win in a tug of war...the moose catcher or the ICC?

    2. I want to get one of those center panels made for my bobtail, with the air disconnects and the pintle hook, and a couple D rings. Who does that sort of work?

    3. Up in eastern Canada, and Maine, every trucker runs moose lights on their mirror brackets. I've seen guys run 4 KC Daylighters off road lights on their moose catchers. What are the laws regarding auxiliary lights? I ran into a snag in South Carolina years ago because I had 4 of them on the top roll bar of my 4 wheel drive (something about the height of where I had them mounted. Anyone running moose lights on their rig?

A majority of our fleet has either Ali Arc or Herd bumpers. So far we haven't had to worry about an ICC bumper snagging one. But they are NOT indestructible so anything is possible.

As far as lights, I've had many different brands of auxiliary lights on my trucks over the years and never been checked for DOT legality. Even the last set which are still on a truck I no longer drive which are Hella 4000 Driving lights which you see on Aussie trucks. I just make sure they are mounted and aimed properly and don't use them when unnecessary.

Triple 6, How often do you get to Cloud?
Go out east on hwy 10, just past the big Ace hardware store. At the next road turn right. Granite city steel. Go see Tim the owner.
He can build you a good pintle hook setup.
I can send you picks on mine. I had it done out in Missoula, Mt. I drilled out the holes for running the air lines and light cord. Easy

I bought a $800 set of PIAA lights for the Herd bumper I was going to order for my FLD but got rid of the truck. So they sit out in the shop calling my name. I'm going to have to order me one for the Star now I guess ;)

I HATE when some morons run those aftermarket lights on the highway and don't treat them as high beams...

on a side note, I'm going to ask the boss for one of those bumpers for the new truck he ordered me a month ago...

I would not run them unless I was on a two lane and alone, like when I ran US84 from Las Vegas, NM to Carlsbad. Could really have used them....

And mine run on 2 settings, low beam and high beam and when not in use, they have a "glow" function.

I had a winch truck with an aliarc on it and had another driver hook it with a pin pocket on a tail roll the aliarc bent out at a 90 degree angle but I think that if it wouldn't have been hooked with a tail roll it would have won. Tail rolls are fairly stoit and way stouter than an ICC bumper.

There are certain stretches of road where I would love to have extra lighting. Ever driven from Fort Stockton to Del Rio at night? The road is extremely dark, twisty (meaning, headlights won't help much) and you see deer by the thousands. Or on 75 south of Wildwood, in Florida. Or any back road in Kentucky. Not as big as the monsters you see in the Dakota's , Montana and Canada, but many more of them.
