HELP! Water Pump for DD15 engine replacement options needed

    I have two 2018 Freightliner Cascadias that are down due to bad water pumps. The pump is a variable speed designed improve engine efficiency. This pump is on back order for eternity and I'm looking for an alternative part. Can a standard water pump from a 2012 - 2017 Freightliner Cascadia be used in place of the variable?

    Secondary question - does anyone have any new or used water pumps for sale? Willing to pay double MSRP. Part #EA4712001101

    72211CD8-F9B2-4C6F-B917-7E9C5B129848.png Says in stock but not sure. Don think the fixed coolant pump will work as the variable has a speed sensor. May be able to jump the pins and keep engine running with light of code. Believe they are same bolt pattern?.

    @Oscar the KW has been dealing with this problem in another thread. I hope this supply chain issue gets sorted out soon. Lots of folks are down waiting on parts right now.

    The older style pump will bolt into place from what I’ve been told, but without the two sensors the truck will go into shutdown.
