I'm sure it is just a blown fuse... I have lost all power to my tripac apu. Control unit in cab not even getting power. Where might I find the fuse for the tripac if not in the fuse panel? 2008 kw t600. Im assuming close to the battery but you'd think they would make it a little more accessible. : /

I think the fuses are inside the APU. Take off the upper cover and they are near the top on the inside wall.

The fuse for my unit is in the battery compartment, but it's not a tripac.

you might have a fuse at batteries but i doubt it, the install kits do not come with a mega fuse, unless the installers put 1 in. all major fuses are in the control box that should be mounted under bunk, this is probably where 1 is blown. and there should be a fuse behind the dash from your ignition switch to your toggle switch(standby).

Each truck is different where they grab the B+ power from. My APU fuses on my 387 are inside the passenger under-bunk door.

If not a fuse, there's also a little black push button circuit breaker on the top corner of the blower box that's under the bunk you might have to reset. I've dealt with that little breaker more than anything when I had problems. But that usually kicks when there are other problems that need fixed.

Thanks for the replies... for some reason the fuse is not located in the fuse box in my driver footwell... I looked inside the apu unit itself removing the top and bottom panels, couldn't find one. And to get under my bunk is like to break into fort knox. Lol. I will just let the guys at the terminal take care of me the first chance im routed thru a terminal. Btw the reset button you speak of, I did try all ready, however I think that is only used to clear error codes off the control panel. I could be wrong tho? It did not fix it.

    Thanks again

Unless the tripac was factory installed, my guess is its NOT going to be in a factory truck fuse box.

Since you have lost ALL power I would start at the batteries and look for a 50amp fuse.

The main cable from the battteries should be fused, or the connection may be so corroded that it is not working. The fuses that control the unit should be located in the side box if that is where they installed the black control brain box. That bos has a reset button on it's side. The fuses are in black capped plugs outside the box.
If you have the top cover off the APU box there is also a shut off switch, and if it is bumped the unit will not run.

Now I wish I had never read the original post, but after a day I have a solution to my problem. I went to turn the unit on at the control panel, and NOTHING! So I followed my own advise, but all the fuses, cables and rest button seemed OK.
What I figured out was the actual switch in the control panel had shifted to the side a little. I thought I was pressing it enough to turn on, but it was out of place. Once I got it centered, it works fine.
