Anyone know of the injector height setting for a cat 3406e?

Do you use a cat tool or just a height gage?

Or is there a better way to set this when running overhead on cat.

either will work. don't quote me but I think the height is 3.07, but make sure I don't have my book with me to verify.

The tool is the best way but you can use a depth mic.

Is that 3 inches with rocker pushing down like the detroits or in the up position?. Hope I worded that correctly.

You sure the 3.07 inches is correct in the non loaded position. I'm assumming your meaning nonloaded is without the cam lobe pushing against it.
I'm measuring from the block head to the top of the injector. With the injector at it's high position.
    This is on a 1LW 3406e motor.
I think I was reading a current reading of 4 inches so I must be measuring from the wrong position.
