thanks for the list, how much clothes do you need? Werner said enough for seven days so do you double up on you jeans or take seven pairs same thing with shirts. I dont want to over back since space is limited and the last thing I want to do is piss off my trainer on the first day. Thanks

Just take enough for seven days, I took about 5 pairs or jeans and 3 pairs of shorts, 7 pairs of undies, and about 10 pairs of socks. Bring one or two towels, sometimes truck stops dont have towels. There wont be a lot of room in the truck with two people so dont bring a huge bag, I found a decent sized duffel bag with side pockets was sufficient. That way you can get all your bathroom supplies in the side and clothes in the rest. Dont forget a pillow and a blanket, would also suggest bringing a bottom sheet for the single bed up top never know if the trainer will have one for you but assume no.

Did you really change pants THAT often?
I'd say half that many, and bring coveralls.

Yah the great thing about pants, if you're not sweating too much or poopin in them, you can reuse them pretty often :)

I made the hubby take 14 days worth of undies and socks. lol Undies because you never know what might happen and socks because you sure don't want foot rot. Being an Army Brat it was always stressed to change into clean socks every day or after your feet got sweaty. He took about 4 pairs of pants and 2 pairs of shorts and then a pair of jammie pants. He likes his tank tops and took a button up to throw over his tank top when he had to do business. Hubby took a sleeping bag with him instead of the sheet set. It worked for him.

Yah I got a nice leopard print blanket, its sort of like sleeping bag material, its supposed to be like a throw or something but it works well in hot or cold weather. I'll look like a 70's pimp but comfort is tops for me :D might even get one of those fancy seat covers with the fan in it to keep my ### from getting sweaty. Sort of off topic :p

I agree more undies and socks. Sleeping Bag is way easier when training, skip the sheets for now. But when you do buy sheets, get the Jersey kind, they fit the beds better and dont slip off all the time.

I also agree with After Shock, cut down on the jeans, unless your a pig pen, you can wear them 2 days in a row.

heck, even solo I have 3 pair of shorts and one pair of jeans...

    21 pair of sox
    14 pair of underwear
    14 shirts

    medium-heavy coat
sweat pants if you feel the need for jammies

One thing I've never seen mentioned is: lots of quarters and some laundry soap, preferably powdered. Most truck stops have at least some form of laundry facilities. I know, 'tis not clothing - but most certainly related.

    Shower gear
    (flip-flops, loofa, soap/shampoo/conditioner)
I'd say a towel is optional. Never yet run into a truck stop that didn't provide them.

all the above is what I took with me as a trainee. It fit easily into my large duffel, which,in turn, I covered with a towel and used as a pillow.

bought sheet set after we'd been on the road for a few days. Before that, just slept under a light quilt.
