We have a 4 axle Pete with a 55 ton DSR and a 65ton 3+3+2 beam that where used to move our own equipment intrastate until we had to downsize back in 2010. Thinking about putting them to work in the for hire market but would like to see what kind of loads are out there before getting started. Can anyone recomend a load board for heavy haul in the southeast?

Honestly, if your going to try to run HH/Specialized off load boards your not going to make enough to even bother starting the truck IMHO. Your going to be competing with the guys who are on their last leg and 1 load away from bankrupt. Too many people jumped on the specialized bandwagon when wind projects were running hot and heavy and now they are prostituting the market trying to keep their collective heads above water since the public has started to realize that wind energy is a complete waste of taxpayers money and the market has dried up.
Lease you equipment to an established HH/Specialized carrier that hasn't fallen prey to the windmills. -
Thank you everyone for the input. That seems to be the trend in so many business sectors, Bidding not to make a profit but just to get the job at any cost so to generate enough income to keep the creditors at bay.

Old post but for any new viewers try leasing on with ATS heavy haul or Blackwell Consolidated
