I’ve been driving for almost 10 years and I think my back and neck is starting to get the best of it. Today I’m driving and I’m like #### my neck hurts because the brand new freight liner has zero neck support in the seat, so I put my hoodie behind my neck and wow what a difference, i drove a 100 miles and felt nothing. I’d prefer a non ghetto way to do this so any of you using a neck support pillow just for this that can slide over the top of the seat? I looked on amazon and lot of em are made only for cars that attach vertically over the separate headrest.

    Jazz1 Thanks this.

None of those are neck supports pillows. I’m not asking for a sales pitch. Thanks

Oops, you are right! My bad!
Just registered here and saw your story; 10 minutes earlier reading that thing with cushions.
So, my initiative hit me in the forehead :)
    Drive safely!
(I swear- wasn't selling anything to you)

dextrdog, I did a bit of web-surf to find the most suitable option for you and in fact found three:
    1. Closest possible to "non-getto-over-the-top" pillow can be this one:
Buy Products Online from China Wholesalers at Aliexpress.com
    2. Create one yourself and get a patent for it. No jokes. Seems, that there is a room for a useful invention
    3. I can't tell if that fits your seat, however it appears the most efficient and safe:
LH Driver Front Seat Black Leather Head Rest Headrest 06-10 VW Passat B6 Genuine | eBay

    Hope that helps a bit.

Have you tried the neck pillows they sell at truck stops?

Neck issues not usually from the seAt. Likely other issues. Keep arm rests low, not propped above Adams rib
If you were to be properly diagnosed the issues may be dealt with by some simple exercises which is what you hope for. Sure would not want to deal with cervical surgery. Your noggin requires critical support.
