It's a pretty straight forward question. I was invited to become a Target DC Driver out of the Cedar Falls, IA Center.
Just wanted to know what to expect from my three days down in Bridgeton, MO since I am taking the time to drive there.
Anybody have any experience with Hogan's Orientation Process...Please, Feel free to chime in.
    Thanks Folks.
    Peace.

Maybe try a differnt thread. Not alot of guys wander through here on the off chance that someone asks about a co they work for. More like hey guys this is where i work and this is why i like it. If its ltl local work like dart excc.. try the local thread. Otherwise try the qurstions from new drivers thread

    tigersroses1 Thanks this.

    street beater,
I finally did research some Threads here and there's not a lot of information that is current. Most of the threads are from 2012-2013. Maybe that's just because Hogan Transports main gig isn't transporting General freight, but more on the side of Truck sales and leasing.
Anyway I'm going to Bridgeton, MO on the 12th of July and by halfway thru the day on the 13th I'll have learned all I need to know. Hopefully it's good.
    Thanks again,
    Peace.

I was looking for info the about the same. I've gone through their orientation in Bridgetown, MO. Was easy. Holiday Inn Express. Breakfast and lunch. Got the job they offered from Craigslist/Monster. 50cents a mile. Only instead of the home once a week. It's more or less every other week. Which I'm fine with. Place I start and return to is in my back yard pretty much. I worked at the warehouse I will pull from when I was younger. So they kept their word with me so far.
The others that where there. They had many accounts to choose from. Livestock, general merch., alcohol, tankers. I'm doing reefer. I did see a lot of target and reefer when I was down there. People I could talk to when management wasnt around said it was good. A few 30yr. vets where in there as well. They said it's nice for what they will be doing as well. Thats the best I can hope for and info I can give.

Yep, it was easy to get through and I got the 5 State regional Target account they promised me in Writing. I get 2 full days off each week, (no weekends though) since weekends are the busiest time for deliveries to the stores, and .42cpm per mile and I don't touch freight!
That's a good gig for me.

Awesome. I'm hoping mine will be just as great. They offered me today that when and if I feel like it. They can switch me over to another account as well. I told them I'd wait. Its good to hear that someone else has been given what was promised to them. I've asked my dad (42 year driver) and a few of his friends and others around. I have yet to hear one bad thing. Or rather nothing really. I guess that could mean they are doing something right and right by the drivers. Only down side. Fully Automatic 62mph truck. I was hoping atleast 65. Just to pass the regular guys. (Werner, England, CRST,)

    AndrewSS02,
I'll be honest, I used to just love my 13 speed Manual and then after some time in a 12 speed autoshift (with USX), I found that I spent less time worrying about the gears and more time simply watching the road and the 4 wheeler traffic around me. It also became less stressful in Heavy Traffic and City driving. So, Hogan's Auto shift is no big deal for me..
Now for the 62 mph limit...Ughh! Everybody passes you so, the right lane is where you stay. I drive on the premise that on any given day I will only drive 10hrs max anyway and I factor that in as averaging out to 500-600 miles per day based on traffic and other road conditions. It's all just part of the deal, and I deal with it.
If you search hard enough on the web....you'll find negative stuff from disgruntled Hogan employees, but they are few and far between and there really isn't much to found about them anywhere. I will say that I personally have yet to encounter a Hogan Driver who is negative.
Anyway, Be Safe and Have a Great Day.

    BuckeyeKev and 123456 Thank this.
