I need to know a route from Texarkana to Shreveport that is hazmat approved. Dispatch uses google maps for our directions so I always have to check and double check the route. I did notice a NO HC sign on my way down there, unable to continue I turned around and stopped at a safe place and called dispatch. Well no call back for quite some time now. So if you know the route I need to take or where I can find it I would really appreciate it. I'm trying to get to Francis Bickham Blvd in Shreveport.

    EDIT
    Route I used was.
    30 to 245 S
    to 549 S
    to 71 S
    to 220 W
to 3132 E (This is where the NO HC Sign is)
    to 523 E
    to 1 S

    EDIT 2
Got a reply on the CB to take Exit 6 on 3132 (Linwood Ave) to 526 to 523 left to follow 523 to 1 but I don't know. Guess I will try it and look for the NO HC signs

71 Will take you right into Shreveport but I need to get to the south east part of it, and as a general rule HazMat is not allowed through cities only around. I could be wrong on that but I think only local deliveries inside city.
    EDIT
And where I'm going 71 puts me on the wrong side of the river.

    EDIT2
This route I got from someone on the CB does not seem to have any HC restrictions but it was dark so I don't know.. Any way I'm done unloading and going to spend the night at this truck stop / casino. See what it is all about. Thanks for the help, and if anyone knows better let me know..

You can go through Shreveport with hazmat you can't go around 220 with hazardous because of the lake... atleast that is how it was in 06..

As far as i know there is not much restrictions going that way especially considering the volume of hazmat coming out of La.

I did that route for years hauling hazmat in/out of the state never been bother.

The question was asked over 3 years ago. I don't think the op is still waiting for directions.
