Hello there I was wondering how it is like having a pet with you when driving over the road? I have seen YouTube videos of drivers had dogs with them. I would think that the pets that you have with you would get tired of being in the truck all day long. Would it be kind of cruel to have the dogs stay in the truck for most of the day?

Get a small dog that sheds very little hair. There's about 10 breeds of small ones. They still need brushing weekly. Google is your friend concerning this.

Well in the videos most of the drivers have very big dogs not just small dogs. I understand that some companies have a security deposit to have pets. Would be funny to have a Great Dane while trucking.

The small dogs can still excercise in the truck; a big dog can't. What do you do when the Great Dane breaks wind in the truck? Distracted driving?

Never had a pet ride with me, but if I chose to it would be the Chinese Crested dog.

They love looking out the window. Take them for a walk when getting unloaded/loaded.

Small dogs old dogs 3 legged dogs blind dogs all good for trucking. If you worried your dog is not happy with its life remind it their are millions of dogs that live on a 6ft chain in some #### hole backyard in Bakersfield.

I dont have a dog in my truck, but from what I've seen, the drivers with dogs are usually superior persons. Most dog owners ignore the dog for days in a back yard somewhere. Drivers do not ignore their dogs. You see them every day in the back of the truckstops, walking their dogs, and playing. Good for the person, great for the dog. A buddy of mine even says that his dog gets extremely upset if he tries to leave his dog at home with the family. The dog creates suck a ruckuss, that his wife calls him and tells him to come back and get HIS dog. So apparently, the dog prefers to be in the truck. What a cruel life.

I suppose that there are others out there who think that its cruel to keep dogs in trucks. I just wish there was a button to push or an app that would signal for nosy people to mind their own business and quit trying to ruin someone else's life.

How you treat animals especially dogs depends on alot the way you were raised what nationality you are many things I know people who should not be allowed to own a dog and I would put my dog down before making it live like that then theirs my mom who is the other extreme i only wish I had it half as good growing up as her dam dog lives.
