anyone play guitar and have a high end acoustic guitar in their truck? I recently got me one of them Gibson j45s almost 3000 dollars wanna make sure I care for it what tricks do you use? Advice? I use a dual humidifier by dadderio or something like that keep it in the case all day nice and secure. I have an apu so temps are pretty consistent it’s just worrying me with different environmental changes and seasons.

I have a bass at home I carry sometimes when I’m in the mood.

Chicks dig the bass  One song grabbed me when I was a kid and I can’t forget that feeling ever. I got goosebumps when I watched the movie. This scene of course

I wouldn't carry anything high end. Too easy to have stolen or get broken.

I drag either my Epiphone or my Takamine, depending on my mood the day I load up for dispatch. Decent sound quality for a little picking and strumming (I play guitar like a dog plays drums...lots of enthusiasm, zero actual skill), but I won't be completely heartbroken if I lose one to theft or accident.

It won’t be stolen I keep my truck locked at all times even when I’m walking around doing a Pretoria super anal about it and I bought o 5 year warranty which covers all damage even if it was my fault cost 500 bucks but hey I’m a trucker thing could go up in flames. Epiphone is owned by Gibson. I hear I just love Gibson made in Montana Jason Aldean and Eric church both rock em. Wouldn’t pick any other guitar in my opinion and oh man it sounds so good I’m just starting out being a guitarist well I been trying to learn my whole life lol but always gave up. Why? Because I didn’t have a Gibson just looking at this thing makes me wet lol. I have dreams about it I’m sure I won’t lose interest this time and if I do I’m a #### fool for spending all that money it’s psychological spend more money on a higher quality product and you will use it by instinct almost

Read that warranty carefully. The salesman probably lied to you.

Nope it’s pretty good covers any and all damage whether my fault or not. Gibson has its own warranty for defects on their end this is a guitar center warranty but different if I punch a whole in the guitar and it can’t be fixed they will replace it is what he basically told me lol

Because I told him ima trucker and what of it fell and broke even tho it’s in a case or I get into an accident and it burns up he said warranty will cover it I mean #### it’s a 2800 dollar guitar plus taxes and a 500 dollar warranty seems fair.

Locked truck means nothing to thieves, unfortunately. Too many trucks are keyed the same anymore.

And yeah, I like my Epiphone. Bought it because Slash (Guns and Roses, Velvet Revolver, Slash's Snakepit, and Slash w/Miles Kennedy and the Conspirators) has a good relationship with Epiphone. He does a fair amount of work with Epiphone on the design end, working to develop affordable guitars for people whose dreams far outweigh their skill (like me).

I got the Takamine used on sale just because I liked the sound of it. Guitars are like potato chips. You can't have just one.
