Currently I'm a company flatbed driver, I'm from a suburb of Chicago and I've been wondering what company would be a good choice to lease on to (with my own truck) to make some cash hauling steel around WI, IA, IL, IN, MI, KY and OH...ideally I'd like to be home every night but every other night would be ok...this is not something I'm planning on doing right away, as I want to continue working company for a while longer, yet, I'd like to know if it's crazy to think that's possible???

So far I've only seen Kaplan drivers around and after talking to them it seems that's what their doing, but are there other companies that could be an option?

In the parking lot of the Lake Station Flying J there are a crap load of steel haulers that park their trucks there. Can't remember the companies they are leased to but you might get a start by looking there.
