Couldn’t find information here could have missed it.Does anyone have knowledge and or advice about them. The pay is pretty self explanatory $30 hr 12 hour shift Sunday thru Thursday 4pm to 4 am overtime after 40.The 12 hour shift for one I feel your most likely not working exactly 12 hours a night so instead of 60 is 55 hours a week more closer.Benefits are a little high but not bad in my opinion.I have ran fuel b4 but didn’t split the truck. They did say tho if the daytime driver isn’t back at 4pm I still would be paid starting at 4pm.How is pilot flying j as a company to work 4.Thanks

I have not worked for them previously -- but as a general rule, fuel hauling jobs with the private carriers are easily some of the most sought-after jobs in the business.

You will very likely be competing with other drivers who have much more fuel-hauling experience than you do -- plus the safety records to match.

I would wager (with all due respect) -- you'll be fortunate just to score an interview....much less, get the job.

    Been there, done that....o_O

If you already have a job offer from them -- then please accept my personal congratulations!!! :occasion5: :occasion6: :occasion7: :occasion9:

Unless your boss (and/or your boss's boss) is a known masochist, I vote that you take the job -- if for no other reason than to later be able to put that on your resume.

Also -- you can come back to the Forum, later -- and tell the rest of us what to expect there (for others as later fortunate as yourself). :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

I did take it you must have some experience. You were right private fuel jobs are easy work.Going in truck stops couldn’t be easier. I did gas stations for a fuel hauling company b4 truck stop companies A LOT easier. You were also right about supervisors There system is setup a little different then I was used to you have what they call a lead driver who is your supervisor he also drives just like everyone else I could see how that authority to some could go to there head and make life hard. I personally seem to have a level headed guy. The 12 hour shift is that if you only have 10 hours worth of work stretch it out to 12 or you can take your 10 and go home it’s up to how you want to work it.$30 an hour for night $29 for day,5 day week with option to work 6 if you want. They pay overtime over 40 and any holiday you work those hours are overtime.$10 a day for any meals at pilot flying j and 15 cents off a gallon of gas for your personal vehicle up to 75 gallons a month.

The guys that run for pilot like it, speak well of the company, and have nice equipment that appears well maintained.
All of which are hallmarks of a solid company that cares about its drivers.
I think you cannot go wrong with joining them, personally.
When work gets thin, and it will, expect fewer hours or limited hours.
I know the guys around here were running about 45/wk when things were really thin in early spring this year.
But now, things are somewhat back to normal and they’re asking who wants a sixth day to make bank.
That extra day is all OT….12x45=560…
Yeah, that’s good money right there.

They do care about their drivers, too.
If you want to run more, usually you can.
Their drivers are really cool for the most part.
Totally legit company to run for.
If i weren’t riding the gravy train on biscuit wheels rolling down bacon and sausage tracks, i would run for them.
