Looking for any feedback regarding PLS Logistics based outside of Pittsburgh with offices in Jacksonville and Tampa. Anyone have any experience or background on hauling loads with them? Any issues getting paid?
Thanks in advance.
Has anyone used pls logistics? Thoughts?

I've moved loads for them in the past, I've never had a issue
Tamiami Thanks this. -
They're a little big for their britches, and usually can't keep track of loads without their load number. I've had to be transferred to higher ups to get a corrected rate confirmation from them more than once, but that might just be trainee error. Other than that, they sure have a tent pitched for throwing tarps.

Whenever they call me, cheap freight on dry van side (below 2$ per mile).

I have only dealt with them one time. They called me about moving a couple local loads in Evansville,In for the next day. They wanted me to move 3 loads at $200 a piece which I said no to but I would do it for $400 a piece as long as they could all be loaded and unloaded in that one day and they agreed to it and said they would send the rate confirmations over right away. They didn't. I called them early the next morning and 3 hours later they finally call me back but I was already booked on another load. They went ballistic yelling that I was not honoring my word to do them. By the time they finally called me back I would of not been able to do all 3 in that day since the receiver closed at 4pm. They were posting the loads on the load board all morning before they ever called me back so why would I not be looking for something also?
Deere hunter, double yellow, BAYOU and 1 other person Thank this. -
Sure, they were looking for someone to do it cheaper.
When they couldn't get a bottom feeder, they called you back.
That's the way it goes. You get what you pay for.
I would've done the same thing.Deere hunter Thanks this. -
Don't load for the Jacksonville, FL office. They are a bunch of careless who care less about the trucker.
I'm working on an issue right now with the home office on them.
I will NEVER load for JAX again, even if this problem is resolved satisfactorily.
It takes forever for someone to answer the phone there and you have to go through hoops just to get to the person you want to talk to.
Then you're on hold and they may or may not ever pick up.
You call back and have to go through the same litany of questions that you just answered the last person for.
It's like there is a veil of secrecy for all of them.
And they don't have an after hours number or anyone on call when something goes wrong, as in my case. -
LOL I have the same story as Baroll and True Blue. Moved one load a few years ago. Took me several hrs to get unloaded so I called PLS and let them know. We agreed on detention...like $150 or something small like that. It practically took an act of congress to collect. First, they short paid the invoice. Then they didn't get the faxes that I sent (showing the detention agreement), then they didn't get the e-mails. And of course they never answer the phone. Just too much trouble.

I booked a load with them and asked for more than what was posted and they agreed.they took there time getting me a rate con. And must have found somebody else to do it cheaper. They never gave me a call back and when I called them a few times I kept getting put on hold and pushed around to another person.i lost a few hours and turned down two other loads and ended up with no load that day. I think there scumbags and won't use them again.
Tamiami Thanks this.
