This company is based out of Oklahoma and Texas, but they haul all over the southern US. They mainly haul pneumatic trailers. I put in my application this morning just expecting to drop it off and leave. But before the day was over, they have my start day Thursday morning. They were desperate for help, and not sure if that was a good or bad thing. They have nice trucks though. 09 Peterbilts and 09 Volvo's.
Has anyone heard of A&J Transportation??

From my (and my wifes) personal A&J Transportation experience, the only advice I can give u is..... RUN LIKE HELL THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!!! They starved my wife and I, both as individual drivers for 3 straight months. Our largest check in that time was $112, every other check averaged $20-30. I'd like to say its because we were to lazy to run or always wanted to be home, but I cant. We stayed out 5 nights a week trying to "make a hand" and all we got in the end was a big F you for our trouble. They may have changed since this time last year but I seriously doubt it since the office help are ALL part of the family and could care less about the people that make the money for them. If you decide to go anyway, all I can say is Good Luck!!

I have been talking to an owner operator today about driving his truck that he has leased on there. I looked up all of the information below after I got off the phone with him. I'm supposed to call him tomorrow and meet him for a road test here in Ft.Worth, TX. However, after seeing A&J Transportation's sms score on the fmsca's website, I most likely won't go to work for the guy.
Here is what I found out:

A&J Transportation has had 168 violations in the past 3 years. They are under a current investigation for Drug and alcohol testing violations. They haven't been sending their drivers for randoms and one driver that had a wreck wasn't sent for testing after he was involved in an accident where a vehicle was towed and a person was injured. Here I thought the two drivers that got tickets for having a radar detector in their trucks was bad, lol.
This is the worst record that I have ever seen for motor carrier. If you go look it up you can click on "print ready measurement profile" and you will see all of the specifics on their violations. They also have a driver complaint on RipOffReport.com
There is no way I'm going to work for these people.
