I know their yard sucks huge donkey ba**S. I delivered to Salson in NJ when pulling trailers for wal-mart that were destined for Long Island and the city. Their yard sucks big time, almost no room to move and no room to back and maneuver. I hated it, the only upside was this black guy, I think his name was Delbert or something like that, that ran the gate he was a riot always had a good joke or story for me. He made the nights in Newark go by so much faster.

Okay my hubby just had to answer this one for you so here he is:
Salson Logistics, wow dont really know where to start. I worked for Salson Logistics for 6 loooong months. I worked for them out of the atlanta terminal. I did not make but very little cpm, especially with the years I have in trucking.
Salson started out as a good company for me, they ran me monday through friday like they said they would, and got me home on the weekend. At first I loved it, I was running well lets say a couple of log books and i was making 45 hundred miles at least a week. After a while though a guy has to rest. well the problem started here, they thought that i never needed rest, they wanted me to drive 24 hours a day.
Although i liked my dispatcher and especially my truck a brand new 377 peterbuilt, my body could not take the abuse anymore. They would not slack up, so i finally had to quit. I made good money with them, but the way they ran me, i would have came to an early grave. Good luck to the dispatchers though, i hope they live through all the long hours. Thanks alot Salson for running me to death, ha now i am with a companey that i make more with and run less, and i do not got to New York City no more.
I was in New York City atleast 4 times a week with them. Question wheather to work for them or not is simple, do you like to go into New Yourk City, and run crazy amounts of miles. If you answered yes, then go for it salson is a company for you. But if you dont like the City and like to make a lot of money, but dont want to run 24 hours a day, then Salson is not a company for you.oneandonly478 Thanks this. -

I know this is an older thread, but I thought I would post up. SALSON!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been working for them for the last 3 years. They took over a driving contract and I had no choice to drive for them if I wanted to keep my job. I CAN'T believe the amount of crap we have gone through!! They have got to be one of the MOST screwed up company's I have EVER worked for!!!
Lie, cheat, and steal.....OH MY!~!
They have a couple of lawsuits from drivers pending. SEVERAL labor dispuits going in N.J. courts, I have a workmans comp hearing going on with them, and the way it looks soon we will have another lawsuit brought on by the 5 drivers up here they STILL owe money to!!
They also have one of the worst D.O.T ratings! I have gotton SEVERAL tickets for their crappy equipment that they won't fix. I have replced headlamps, taillamps, air lines, just to AVOID tickets and have not gotton some of the money back( pending lawsuits)
We have had expence checks bounce!! They canceled our health insurance(didn't tell us) but kept taking money from us!! (pending lawsuit)
If I sound bitter....It's because I am!!oneandonly478 Thanks this. -
