Has anyone dealt with McKinney Trailer Rental!

    i recently rented 2 reefers from these guys at $950 a month with mileage and reefer hours in the fine print. My bill came up to $2600- $4300 for 40 days rented. I raged on this charge. Advise pls.

    For the love of your business, avoid these crooks. I was charged $2600 and $5400 for renting two reefers between Dec 29 and Feb 8. These companies are exploiting owner operators and drivers. Anyone with experience with these guys!

    Yes, they are very expensive. Before I bought my trailer I looked into renting and it's cheaper to buy than it is to rent.

    Advise on what? Are you saying you didn't understand how the mileage and reefer hrs are calculated on top of the monthly base charge when you pulled the trailers off their lot?

    I rented a dry van from them for a mos before I bought my own and it cost me around $900 a mo with the maintenance mileage fee.

    You're probably not going to like this, but if it's in the fine print, you'll just have to eat it, no point having a cry when it's black and white. Take that from someone who never used to read contracts and copped a nasty blood nose one time from not reading the fine print.... Read them, and ask questions about anything you don't understand.
