I haven't read all this, but if you are ever trying to help someone back up, point both your arms in the direction you want the rig to go, the driver gets paid to (supposedly) know how to get that done. Crossed arms means stop.

This below pretty much mirrors the military standard...nowhere does it ever say to do the cha-cha in the circular direction you want the driver to turn the wheel, then do the cha-cha harder with an angry face when the driver goes the wrong way.

You're supposed to just point the direction the rig is supposed to go and let the (professional) driver figure out how to do that. Just keep pointing the direction it's supposed to go, keep that confusion contained friends.

Personal thread derail, is that the only reason you became a fleet owner? I would assume (from an infinitesimally finite amount of worldly experience) that one would make out way better as a fleet owner compared to just OO, while being able to work from home and all. Life has a way of forcing our hand sometimes, and sometimes it turns out the pain was to get you somewhere better.

Yep, when I ran to the oil field several customers required two or three spotters at frack sites, one in front and at least two in back. These were the standard hand signals.

If your spotter is a truck driver and he is constantly standing where you cant see him in the mirror.... get out and look... he is retarded and we dont want the blind leading the blind. ;)
