Looking to buy my own cow pot and the only ones I’m familiar with are Wilson’s. I’ve seen a few Wilson’s, Merritt’s, Eby’s, Barrett’s but found an old Guthrie, that by the pics, looks “good”. Pics are very limited of the trailer and seems they went out of business years ago. Anybody got any experience with a Guthrie?

If anything needs replaced on the inside you could get latches and stuff from Wilson or Merritt and convert them over.
I never pulled a Guthrie but I did pull an old Merritt before they had the rows of big holes on the trailer, and I can tell you than a trailer with nothing but small holes wasn’t a lot of fun in the wind.
The upside to a Guthrie was their white sides. So no stained or streaked aluminum.mile marker 27 Thanks this. -

I think Wilkens Manufacturing in Kansas bought them out. They make walking floor trailers and their wellfare wagons look an awful lot like the old Guthrie style.
A good older aged now retired friend of ours used to skateboard the walking floors from Laredo and Houston port as a regular run up to them years ago.Siinman and mile marker 27 Thank this. -
@Cattleman84 maybe he knows about the trailer brand.

Looks like getting enough air through the trailer, during summer months may be an issue for my area but maybe not. I kinda favor the slat sided trailers but may not be enough of a difference, aside from looks.
