I'm looking for info on the Enid Terminal of Groendyke. I talked to a recruiter and these are the "highlights" of what he told me.

    - Safety bonus are paid to driver at 1cpm quarterly AND to safe Terminals (all drivers based out of that terminal, plus day workers) # $100xmillion miles run safely.

    - They will not hire out of "driver mills" (i.e. Roadmasters). And they rarely hire drivers directly from any school unless there a VET, or have a very stable work history.

    - They have won the The Heil Trophy (trucking Heisman?) for past 3yrs

    - initial company training is paid at $450/wk x 3-6 weeks depending on exp.

    - OTR drivers are paid 30 cpm with no raises till you been there a year.

    - Reginoal Drivers are rare, but they start at 28cpm.

    - Local drivers are paid hourly, drive day cabs, and slip seat cause they trucks don't stop.

    - There best terminal is out of Missouri, with the Terminal having 10million safe miles.

I'm seriously considering them, but would like to get some independit confirmation and personal opinions about em.

That pay is real low for tankers. I thought they paid percentage.

Depends on the terminal.. I was paid percentage, another driver on here says he is paid per mile but he started at .48 with 6 months experience. I agree that sounds pretty low even to start out.

I have talked to a couple drivers from the Hutch, KS terminal and they seem to like the job. Plus my brother is buddies with one and he really likes working for them.

The last time I was at the doctors office I was waiting for lab and there was one of their drivers in for a UA. He got paid percentage of the load. He was disgusted that he had to log the UA as on duty not driving plus they weren't paying him anything for his time. He also was not a fan of electronic logs. He said he'd been with them six months at the time. That was three months ago and I passed him the other day as I was coming home. He's still driving for them.

    All I know about Groendyke.

enid does a lot of flower it don't pay very well but it must get better after time because some people have been there a while i just didn't like making 120 bucks for 14 hrs with you workin till you run out of hours then gettin a reset and they want you come back then when its get slower they let you sit because theres other peolpe been there longer and they decide they want your loads which they didn't want when they wanted to have there regular days off. it really depends what terminal you work at each company terminal has some specific setups as well as the lease terminals are different. there not a bad place to get your tanker experience. but your not gonna get rich with e logs they really screw you over on line 4 time
