This is technically hearsay, as I am about to tell you what another driver told me. I bear witness, however, to the paystubs he showed me, so it is not all hearsay.
Last year, about 6 months ago, I ran into a serious driver who financed a truck and jumped on with Greatwide. He insisted on Power Only so he could run non-stop and go-go-go. He cleared 90k gross in about 4 1/2 to 5 months. Driving was about all he did. His kid(s) were grown and he wasn't a big fan of his (ex?) wife. I added parenthesis because the best memory from that conversation was his paystub. Year-to-date was just over 90,000$.
I hope that helps. Like any driver out here, if you stick to something and give it everything you got, you'll do well... I have a 4:30 AM wake up call tomorrow. I was woken up yesterday at 3:30 AM from my parking lot neighbor getting ready to start his shift. He was my rooster for the day. I got up and did laundry and took a shower. It was a good day overall, especially since I shutdown early and had extra time to myself. Stay focused on the miles and staying safe and everything falls into place.
Good luck.Stringb8n Thanks this. -

Are you gonna do rail, port or van? I think they have dedicated lanes out of Scranton and the Westchester areaBrooklyns Finest and briantrucker Thank this. -
I do okay with GW. I have my own truck, it is financed with affordable payments. GW itself is a great company to run for. They will go out of their way and bend over backwards to help you be successful so long as they see you are doing to help yourself. There are a lot of agents to run for at GW, from my understanding, the one you come on under is the one you stay on under unless there happens to be issues that just don't get resolved with that agent. They keep it on the up and up. Every load I run I get a delivery receipt emailed to me with the total rate, the FSC, loaded mileage, etc. They pay FSC on every load, even brokered loads. They will back out the FSC from the rate. You will have to figure your % of that rate, and then add the FSC you are paid for your total revenue for the load. I use a spreadsheet on my computer that I can access on my phone to keep track of all my revenue, expenses, etc. First two weeks all they deduct from you is the trailer rental fee of $190. So, by all means if you are able to do so and want to harness that advantage, then do it and run your butt off. Direct freight to the agent from what I have seen has paid better of course than brokered loads.
zaroba and Brooklyns Finest Thank this.
