SS as far as I know, is best for freezing, everything else usual "normal" stuff. Maybe someone will give you more details, if you'd narrow and specify which exact details you'd like to know, because your question is too broad.

On current models they're the same thing. I looked on their site and it seems they've discontinued the TL/SS designation altogether now. They used to have a "super seal" option that was a single wide door seal, versus the more common double seal. I recall somethingorother regarding which plant it was manufactured in having something to do with that as well. One plant in South GA, the other in Indiana? Nebraska? I forget. This would have been relevant to 2005 or thereabouts.

When you spec a new one, you can choose how much insulation, liner material, you name it, regardless of any model designation. There isn't any "package" offered for different products. It's up to you to order what will work with your operation. Of course more insulation means less interior space which could limit the products you haul, and also affect the required capacity of whatever reefer unit you install. Most used trailers on the market are adequate for frozen product (0º to -10ºF). You will often see trailers spec'd for produce (34ºF and up), usually in the south, especially in areas near shipping ports or Mexican border crossings. The tell is how thick the doors are. A standard frozen spec is usually 3". If the doors are thinner than that, you're probably looking at a produce trailer.

Alex1993, goga and Short Fuse EOD Thank this.
