Hi all,
I'm in the middle of CDL school right now and expecting to be making a career change into trucking by the fall. Can anyone tell me if a trip to Dallas to spend a day or two at GATS would be worthwhile? Is it mostly show trucks and accessories, or does it have recruiters and things that would be of interest to a prospective company driver?

It does have recruiters. Very interesting show if you have never been. MATS in March in Louisville, KY is about 3 times as large.

Great if you have the time/money.
Worth a trip for industry insight. -
As long as you don't have unrealistic expectation of the industry.. all the gloss, polish and smiles are not going to do you much good.. but the show is pretty fun...

Thursday and Friday are the best days. Saturdays are usually family day. Bling is usually gone by Friday.
