grants for startup

I have not heard of any grants to start up a trucking business. I suppose they think that if you don't have the cash then you should be able to go to conventional lending sources.

 

If you're a Native American you may be able to find some.

 

You cant get a job driving a truck so you think youre gonna start your own trucking company>? You dont see anything seriously f'd up about that?

 

I was reading some stuff under the US Dept of Transportation a few weeks ago, but then I got distracted and never found a solid answer.

Today, if anyone had a grant to start a business....trucking would be right at the bottom of my list.

 

In the past, most grant money has been reserved for minorities. If you are a white Anglo Saxon male, there has usually been little available. But, if anyone finds some grant money laying around, let me know. I am sure that I can find a good use for it.

Dont listen to the negative comments man. I just started mine. It's about 375$ to get your company name, IRS EIN# for taxes, state certificate for operating etc. Have you been driving at ALL yet? If not then you need to get some experience. Shame on you VETS not helping anyone in need.
